CTBMCLC Impact Strategy

CTBMCLC is a community legal centre with a current office in Katoomba, NSW and a new office to be opened in Orange, NSW in 2023. We have served our community for more than 25 years, and constantly seek to evolve what we do, how we do it, and where, in order to better support our clients. This three-year strategy describes a shift in the way we seek to articulate our goals and make our decisions – it represents an intentional decision to hold ourselves to account for the outcomes our clients enjoy as a result of seeking our assistance, over the quantity of activities we deliver.

Thus, this strategic plan – or impact strategy – explains how CTBMCLC intends to generate impact for our clients. We have identified three specific impact priorities on which we will focus for the next three years, in addition to our ‘everyday’ impact generation. We have also identified some of the organisational work that we will need to do to achieve those priorities.

The impact strategy is founded in our theory of change. That theory of change is supported by an impact measurement framework which will help inform us about what we need to do to improve the outcomes experienced by our clients.

Theory of Change

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Darug, Gundungurra and Wiradjuri nations. We pay respect to past, present and future Elders, extending this respect to all Aboriginal people. We respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of our regions. CTBMCLC is is committed to honouring Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society.
